What does this teach me about God?
This is so reassuring to me! What about you? God is in our midst. Last time I was feeling stressed because I didn't have much time left to finish my house work and I was asking God to help me not be so stressed.
Then, the thought came to me that I serve such an amazing God! Why is that? Imagine this. God is the Creator of the world. Not just this world but all worlds. He created the universe! It is thanks to Him that everything exists. The Bible tells us that "He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together." (Colossians 1:17).
Yet despite managing the whole universe, making sure things live and exist and working day and night for our salvation, God has time for me. God is in my midst even when I come to Him with a small problem. I'm like a little dot in this great picture of life. My stress is even smaller than myself. Nonetheless, God is listening to me! He is listening and He wants to save me from my struggles and help me. What a wonderful, loving, caring Father we have.
Prayer to pray: Dear God, thank You for caring for me, such a small creatures compared to the universe. I am so small and so are my problems when looking at all You uphold daily. Yet, nonetheless, You watch over me and desire to help me even in the little things. Remind me of that each day and every moment that I feel stressed or afraid. You are in my midst. Hallelujah! In Jesus' name. Amen.
