Let me tell you about the first time I had a date smoothie. It was a revelation!! I was like this literally tastes like a milkshake!! I was so excited, never thought my plant-based diet would get as exciting as a healthy milkshake. Anyways, I want you guys to be amazed to so here it is: date and cashew shake!
Date&Cashew Shake
Prep time: 1 minute
Total time: 3 minutes
Servings: 1 tall glass
Ingredients
1 cup plant-based milk (or more to thin)
2 tbsp cashews (1/4 if you like it really thick)
1 tbsp of hemp, flax or chia seeds
3 Medjool dates (if using another kind maybe put 5)
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 banana
5-6 ice cubes
Vanilla protein powder (optional)
Instructions
Add all ingredients to the blender and blend on high for 1 minute
Test the texture whether or not it's to your liking. Add more milk for a thinner shake and more cashews or the other half of the banana for a thicker consistency.
